Are You A Sower?

For God is the one who provides seed for the farmer and then bread to eat. In the same way, he will provide and increase your resources and then produce a great harvest of generosity in you. II Corinthians 9:10 (The Living Translation)

God gives the sower seed to sow. (Wow how awesome is it that God provides the seed for us to sow?) When we open up our hands to give to others, God opens up His hands to give to us. (Are you opening up your hand today? Or do you have a clinched fist??)

All to often I hear people say "I don't have any money to sow, I'm barely making it myself". Well that's not the way God desires for His people to live. That's why the word says that He provides seed for the sower to sow. I believe if we have a heart to give, God will make sure we actually have something to give. Giving doesn't always have to be monetary gifts, it could be giving clothes that has been hanging in your closets for years away to someone in need. Or it could be giv…

Don't Allow Debt to Become A Generational Curse!

Proverbs 22:6 (The Message Bible) "Point your kids in the right direction - when they're old they won't be lost."

Getting free from debt is not just for us; it's also for our children, and our children's children. Debt can be a generational curse!

When parents are in debt, it usually trickles down to the children. Our children more times than none emulate what the grown ups around them do. If we don't want our children in financial bondage tomorrow, we have to do all that we can do to get out of it TODAY!!

It is our responsibility as parents to teach our children how to handle their money. The best training for our children is for them to develop and implement good money management skills early in life. If we are going to point our kids in the right direction as it relates to money, we must first learn how to apply those directions in our own lives. As parents, we must realize that our attitudes and ways of spending money greatly influences our children.

How's Your Credit Life?

II Kings 4:1b (New Living Version) "A Creditor has come threatening to take my two sons as slaves."

Did you know that we could become slaves to our creditors? Well if you didn't know, now you do. Scripture tells us so! In the bible days, poor people and debtors were allowed to pay their debts by selling themselves or their children as slaves. Now, we know slavery is dead, but we can still be in bondage to our creditor. And it is not God's will that we be in bondage to anyone or anything!

Here are a few things that we can do to avoid becoming slaves to our creditors:
You should only have one credit card, maybe two, but no more than that. Do not pay just the minimum due on your cards, it takes longer to pay them off that way. While you are paying your cards off, don't carry them with you, you will be tempted to use them. Once you pay your cards off, don't carry a balance on them.Pay off your balances in full each month. Only use your credit card as a convenience, …

Do You Have a Vision to Get Out Of Debt?

Do you have a vision to get out of debt, is a good question... And if you don't have a vision to get out of debt, YOU SHOULD!!

Romans 13:8 (The Message Bible) Don't run up debts, except the huge debt of love you owe each other.

Sounds to me like the only debt God wants us in is the debt of Love!! So why are there so many people still battling DEBT? I believe it's because they don't have a vision to get out of debt. Our vision should be "I am going to do whatever it takes to get out of debt".

Begin by allowing God to teach you how to get out of debt; put your finances under His authority, by allowing Him to direct you on how to handle your finances. Make a commitment between yourself and God to stick to your vision on getting out of debt.

Here are a couple of things that happen when you have a vision to get out of debt:
Your vision will speak to you and help you make the right decision with your finances. When you go to spend money on something you don't need, …

Gather Your Money Little by Little!

Proverbs 13:11 (New International Version)

Dishonest money dwindles away, but he who gathers money little by little makes it grow.

Provers 21:5 (The Message)

Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind.

What are you doing today to make your money grow? What are you doing today to save your money? You might say "well, what can I do to make my money grow, how can I save money?" My answer is this "gather your money little by little!!"

If God tells us that "careful planning puts us ahead in the long run", I believe Him! If you are like most, saving money is the last thing on your mind, but it shouldn't be. Situations happen everyday that need our attention, and often times need our money; you get a flat tire, you have an unexpected bill to pay, or your child needs something. What do you do if you don't have a surplus, how do you handle those situations?

For those of you who don't know where to begin as it re…

A Poverty Mind-Set

Deuteronomy 8:18 - If you start thinking to yourselves, "I did all this, and all by myself, I'm rich, it's all mine!" Well, think again!

Remember, that God gave you the strength and power to produce wealth!

The person with a poverty mind-set thinks it was all him, and totally forgets about God. Don't be that person!!

Remember who was there when you didn't have anything, remember who came to your rescue when you called on Him, and remember who told you that "all your needs would be met according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus!! (Philippians 4:19)

Have a most prosperous day!!
