Psalm 23:1 (New Living Translation)
In John 10:11 Jesus calls Himself the “Good Shepherd”, and we are His sheep. So if He is the Good Shepherd, and we are His sheep, why do we walk around worrying about things that are of no concern to us? Is it because we don’t understand the characteristics of a sheep?
Sheep are completely dependent on the shepherd for provision, guidance, and protection. Could that be the problem in our finances? Could it be that we are not completely dependent on Jesus for our provision, for guiding us in our money, and for protecting our money from the devour?
When we allow God, our Shepherd to guide us, we have contentment. When we choose to go our own way, by trying to provide for ourselves, guide ourselves, and protect ourselves, we cannot blame God for the environment we find ourselves in.
When we take God out of the equation we find ourselves in lack, need, and to put it plainly, we find ourselves in a poverty position. The only way we can reverse all of that is by repenting, and asking God for forgiveness for trying to do it our own way, and by allowing the Lord to be our Shepherd.
He is waiting and wanting to be a Good Shepherd in our lives!! The word says “Taste in see that the Lord is Good (Psalm 34:8).” Why don’t you try that today? Taste and see that He is good!
I have faith in you!! I know you can do this!! We'll do it together!!
